Welcome to the 2016 Grand River Predators.

We are excited for the upcoming year as Coach Cam Stevens continues to build a competitive team in the CJFL Ontario Football Conference. As ever, we have some exciting new faces to join our team and Coach Cam is building a staff that is hungry, passionate, experienced and willing to coach young football talent to be the best they can be.

Predators players come from all over Southern Ontario and with our home in the heart of Waterloo Region we are ready to take on this season. Our players from Universities, Colleges and various work places – we are united by a passion for the game and we are defined by the following three core values:

  1. We never quit and play with everything we have until the final whistle.
  2. We don’t blame others for mistakes they make and certainly not for our mistakes. Mistakes and how we handle them are a huge part of playing football. Identify the problem and fix it that’s all there is to it.
  3. We are dedicated to creating a positive football experience based on working to attain a positive atmosphere dedicated to winning games.

Coach Stevens commits to the players of this team that his coaches will lead according to the definition outlined below.

“The boss drives his men; the leader coaches them. The boss depends upon authority; the leader on good will. The boss inspires fear; the leader inspires enthusiasm. The boss says “I”; the leader, “we.” The boss fixes the blame for the breakdown; the leader fixes the breakdown. The boss knows how it is done; the leader shows how. The boss says “Go”; the leader says “Let’s go!”
